Although I love Engineering I don't think it's right for my Druid. My Legion alts with fully upgraded Order hall, it's pretty good source of Legion. Mar 26, 2017 - Professions are skills used to create and enhance items, usually gears. Mail armor used by Druids, Monks, Rogues, Shamans, and Hunters.

So I'm thinking about professions in BFA, and whether I should tweak/reset any before BFA comes out. Legions gutted my professions because of the dungeon runs, I hope BFA won't be as strict about dungeon runs for profession advancement.Enchanting is the only one that is easy choice for me. I can DE gear I get, and always useful.Alchemy - I really like this profession and it's useful but herbs will be nuts insane for a long while, and I don't have the time or inclination to go farm herbs.Tailoring - really only useful for the bags, and since everyone can pick up cloth the mats shouldn't be too expensive. Are there tailoring specific buffs or self enchants?Inscription - from the stuff I've seen/read this will be good to have but again herbs availability.Gathering - again I don't have time/inclination to farm mats, and skinning is not as useful as herb/mining.The rest - all crafting profs that require mats.So TLDR - Maybe every toon I play should just have enchanting and herbalism, and have one alchemist.?Your thoughts?

I'm altiholic too and I do all the professions but I don't go crazy getting every last one. My first toon at launch that I raise at the beginning of every xpac is my BM hunter with chant/mining. Second is my panda WW Monk for herb/pots/food. Third is my Arms Warrior that I might switch to fury and he's BS/mining. Then tauren feral druid to hoover herb/script but if this xpac is as terrible with script as Legion I may not even bother.

Then Frost DK with engineering. And my poor rogue who I've all but abandoned with LM/skin because I didn't like the changes to rogue and LM wasn't worth the time to level IMO. Actually I'll bounce around as I need gear or mats. »This guy does good videos and he gives a good BFA professions intro in this one. Over all I think it looks good. Each expansion has its own leveling, say 1-100 for pandaria, 1-100 for WOD, etc. So if you want to switch professions you don't have to level up to 800 first before even being able to do BFA stuff, the only downside is losing old recipes I guess.

This is very smart and very welcome, and like the guy says makes future expansions easy, just another section and start over. For gathering you can gather everything from level 1 (which we have now). There are higher ranks for more efficency which are gained by quests, but looks like solo quests.Crafting recipes are from trainers. Max ranks are gated behind rep but way better than in legion where it was gated behind RNG. There's a scrapper bot where you can break down your crafted gear for maybe 50% return on the mats.Crafting raid level gear right now seems stupid.

To craft raid level gear you need BOP mats that drop from raids and the raid level crafted gear is BOP. Hope they fix that and make them BOE at least. 'Blue' level gear is BOE.It looks like wrist enchants are only available for enchanters, so that tells me there are profession specific buffs again. The one in the video is for faster hearthing so maybe they will just be for fun and utility, which is good.
